Just like Captain Discount, time flies and our Rent Consultation has come around again.
We will be starting our third year of the original ‘3 Year Rent Deal’ so below is a summary of what happened in the previous two years and what we propose for the final year.
The Rent Increase was a flat rate of £5 each month with all paper-free tenants qualifying for a new Bronze Key Tenant Rent Discount of £5 a month and existing Gold and Platinum Key Tenant Rent Discounts were also increased by £5 each month, and are now £15 and £25 a month.
We originally proposed to increase rent by inflation only, however Captain Discount felt this figure was simply too high, and so we decreased the inflation-linked Rent Increase by 2%.
This year Captain Discount has super-charged his powers even more than last year, to allow him to battle the high inflation rate we are all experiencing.
This means he can U-turn on the original inflation-only increase for year 3 and reduce the inflation figure by -8%, which is fantastic news for all of our tenants. This means we are consulting on a proposed increase of 6% to all rents from 1 April 2023.
