These Homes Update
Our last ever Homehunt property listing went up in early March, and we’re preparing for the launch of These Homes on 22 March.
A few of the questions that have come up about These Homes and the changes to our Allocations Policy:
Q: Will my Homehunt details be transferred over to These Homes?
A: No - you will need to re-register as we are moving to a new software provider. We have also made changes to some of the questions that we previously asked you to make sure that we capture all of your needs. However, you will be asked for your Homehunt number – this is so we can adjust your registration date to the date you registered with Homehunt so you don’t ‘lose your place’. It also means that as long as your circumstances haven’t changed and you still qualify for any priority, we can go ahead and apply that to your These Homes registration, rather than going through the whole assessment process again.
Q: When can I register?
A: Registrations open on the 22nd of March and you have until the 16th of April to compete your registration in order to keep your original Homehunt registration date. As we expect there to be around 20,000 registrations across the seven landlords using These Homes in the first few days, we will be very busy to start with, so please be patient if your registration isn’t updated immediately.
Q: I’ve lived in an ELHA flat for five years – does this new Pass mean I can get priority to transfer to a house, even though I don’t need a bigger home?
A: Yes, it does! This doesn’t guarantee you’ll be offered a house, but it does improve your chances.
Q: Can I get the registration form on paper?
A: No, not at the moment. If you need support and are not able to register online, please contact us and we will arrange a registration call with one of our Team, who will go through the form over the phone, and will complete it on your behalf.
