Rents & Money Advice

Published: 19/05/2020

Thanks to all of you who paid your rent in April – this helps us ensure we can help our tenants who are genuinely struggling to pay their rent at the moment.  If you’re not sure if you’re going to be able to make your normal rent payment this month, please contact us now – we can help you with advice and support on claiming Universal Credit and other welfare benefits, adjusting your rent payment days or making an arrangement to spread a missed payment over a few months.  We will also be able to advise you of any support packages the Government may put in place to cover missed earnings.

We’re working with a great many tenants who have been financially affected by the crisis and helping to support people who need our help.  Our Money Adviser, Anne, received three months’ worth of referrals in a single week.  She and the Housing Officers are currently working towards contacting everyone with an open referral; and by now we should have made initial contact with all of you. If you haven’t heard from us, please get in touch.

If you have requested support but have managed to get things sorted out yourself before Anne has had a chance to call you, please drop us an e-mail at to let us know.
