Garden Care Scheme

Published: 17/05/2021

We provide a Garden Care Scheme to tenants who are aged over 70 or who have a disability which makes maintaining their garden impossible.  The work is carried out by East Lothian Council, and due to a number of factors, the Scheme has been slow to get started this year, and now has a large backlog to work through.

Grass cutting for the Garden Care Scheme resumed on the 3rd of May.  If you are on the Scheme, and your grass hasn’t been cut yet, it’s not because you’ve been dropped from the Scheme; someone should be out shortly.  Unfortunately, we can’t say when your grass will be cut, as this depends very much on the weather.
