Direct Debits and the "Rent Freeze" - Some Still Change!

As the introduction of new and increased Key Tenant Rent Discounts means an effective “Rent Freeze” for all paper-free tenants, we’ve been doing a lot of checking and rechecking on whose Direct Debit will change.  As all our tenants have up until the 28th of March to switch to paper-free, and banking rules mean we have to amend Direct Debits a bit further in advance, some tenants may receive a Direct Debit change notification from Allpay saying that your rent payment is going up by £5.

If you receive this notification, and you're paper free – this may be because you only recently qualified for a discount and it was too late for us to change your Direct Debit this month.  We will do a full check of all Bronze tenants as soon as the update is run, and if you’ve had a £5 increase when you shouldn’t, we will make sure that this is amended as soon as possible.

You may still see your Direct Debit change this year if you pay Service Charges.  Like every year, some of our Service Charges are going up, quite a few are coming down as we have negotiated better deals with suppliers, and some will stay the same.  As ever, Allpay will let you know in advance if your Direct Debit is changing.
