Applying for a Home
We advertise all our available properties on These Homes, and promote this weekly on our Facebook page. Adverts are also available in libraries, local council offices, Citizens Advice Bureaux and our office. Once you are registered, you can sign up for a weekly e-mail which will list any suitable available properties.
You can apply for a property by logging into your These Homes account, by phoning the office, by letter, or by visiting our Haddington office. All you need is the address of the property you are interested in and your These Homes registration number.
You can apply for as many advertised properties as you wish at one time.
If you are successful in applying for a property, we will arrange for you to view it. Please do not ask the current tenant to let you see inside an advertised property as this could be intimidating for them.
Unless you are taking part in the My New Home process, you will be expected to pay the first month’s rent when you sign your Tenancy Agreement. If you arrive at your viewing and sign up appointment without your first rent payment, your offer may be withdrawn.
